Hey, I’m David Chernay.<\/h2>\n

North Park, San Diego. 19 years in this neighborhood and counting. Jennifer and I moved here in 2007 after landing in San Diego the year we got married (June 2004). This city got us — we’re not leaving.<\/p>\n

30+ years in tech. I’ve shipped products, managed programs, written books, automated newsletters, and rebuilt a WordPress server from scratch using an AI agent and a DigitalOcean console when SSH was refusing to cooperate. That last one was last week. Still counts.<\/p>\n

The Family<\/h3>\n

Jennifer<\/strong> is the real professional in the household. She runs Wander Well Travel<\/a>, a travel business she built from scratch. She plans the trips, I complain about the packing. We make it work.<\/p>\n

Rocket<\/strong> (8) and Astro<\/strong> (4) are both white mini goldendoodles and are, objectively, the best dogs in North Park. Rocket is the wise elder. Astro is the chaos agent. They are both perfect.<\/p>\n

Kendall<\/strong> is our daughter. San Diego native. She still owes me for the phone. (Hi Kendall.)<\/p>\n
